Transfer Room Process and Information
The Transfer Room is a guided transaction workspace — not a file uploader. This page walks through every step of how buyers and sellers reach the Transfer Room and how it guides both parties from agreement all the way to a fully verified handoff and a permanent archive.
The full journey at a glance
Getting to the Transfer Room
Before a room ever opens, both parties get verified and confirm they're ready. These three phases happen out in the marketplace.
It starts with Get Started
Create your listing
The journey begins when a seller (Party A) selects Get Started anywhere on the platform, which launches the Listing Builder.
- Complete listing information and business details
- Fill required marketplace fields
- Complete identity verification (if not already done)
- Add payment information (if required)
- Submit the listing for review
- Once approved, the listing goes live in the marketplace
A buyer raises their hand
Buyer interest
A potential buyer (Party B) submits an expression of interest. The seller can accept, decline, request more information, or invite the buyer into a Transfer Room.
- Buyer submits an expression of interest
- Seller accepts, declines, requests info, or invites to a Transfer Room
- On invite, the buyer is notified by email, SMS, and in-app notification
- Buyer completes identity verification and required profile info
- Buyer adds payment information (if applicable) and accepts the invitation
Both parties must be verified before Transfer Room access is granted.
Craftr confirms everyone is ready
Compliance & readiness check
Before the room opens, Craftr performs a platform readiness review, confirming both parties completed every required acknowledgement and platform requirement.
- Marketplace Terms of Service accepted
- Transfer Room Terms and Craftr Assistance Terms accepted
- AI assistance acknowledgement signed
- Identity verification and invitation acceptance confirmed
- Required payment and profile information provided
- Attorney recommendation acknowledged and digitally signed
useEmark strongly recommends each party obtain independent legal advice before completing a transfer. If anything is missing, Craftr presents it as an overlay modal and nothing proceeds until it is complete.
Inside the Transfer Room
Once both parties are verified and ready, the room opens and guides the transaction through to a fully archived, verified handoff.
Agree on exactly what transfers
Transfer definition
The Transfer Room opens with a progress timeline. Craftr analyzes chat, notes, and uploaded documents to extract the proposed assets, each linked to its source conversation.
- Progress timeline appears: Identity → Requirements → Business Scope → Financial Terms → Transfer Plan → Final Review → Execution → Completed
- Craftr extracts proposed assets (website, domain, brand, source code, email list, accounts, and more)
- Each extracted item references its source conversation
- Conflicting information is highlighted for review
- Both parties confirm, modify, or reject each item
No transfer proceeds until both parties agree on the scope.
Set the commercial terms
Deal structure & escrow
With scope agreed, the commercial terms are established — price, deposit, schedule, closing date, escrow provider, conditions, and which assets are included or excluded.
- Define purchase price, deposit, and payment schedule
- Configure installments, seller financing, earn-outs, or revenue sharing if used
- Set closing date, escrow provider, conditions, and contingencies
- Confirm assets included and excluded
- Craftr checks the transaction for internal consistency and flags gaps
When all required fields are complete, the room shows a completion animation and advances.
One summary, fully sourced
Final review package
Craftr generates a comprehensive Transaction Summary covering scope, structure, escrow, schedule, responsibilities, timeline, and acknowledgements — each section linking back to its source.
- Review transfer scope, purchase structure, and escrow summary
- Review payment schedule, asset checklist, and responsibilities
- Review timeline, documents, acknowledgements, and outstanding tasks
- Each section links back to the original source that established it
- Both parties digitally approve the complete summary before execution
From legal mode to operational mode
Ownership handoff
The room shifts from 'Transfer Room' to 'Ownership Handoff.' Instead of one giant upload, every asset becomes a guided Transfer Card with step-by-step implementation guides.
- The sidebar becomes Ownership Progress with a checklist of every asset
- Each asset is a Transfer Card: current owner, new owner, status, method, instructions, and time estimate
- Party A marks 'I've Sent'; Party B confirms 'I've Received'
- Every asset has an Implementation Guide (video, PDF, checklist, common problems, verification steps)
- Supporting evidence can be attached; Craftr tracks progress automatically
The buyer never has to wonder what to do next — each card explains the exact steps.
Confirm every asset landed
Verification
After every required asset is transferred, Party B verifies receipt. Craftr compares agreed assets, the completed checklist, and uploaded confirmations, flagging anything missing.
- Each card asks the buyer: can you access it? Yes or No
- If No, Craftr asks what's wrong (no invite, permission denied, wrong account, need help, other)
- Party A is notified of any issue
- Craftr compares agreed assets against the completed checklist
- Both parties resolve outstanding items before closing
Ownership successfully transferred
Closing
When every required task is complete, both parties complete a final confirmation and the platform displays Transfer Complete. Escrow closing instructions complete per the agreed workflow.
- Both parties complete a final confirmation
- Platform displays Transfer Complete and Ownership Successfully Transferred
- Escrow closing instructions complete according to the agreed workflow
- The Transfer Room is locked into a read-only archive
A permanent record, not a disappearing act
Post-transfer archive
Rather than vanishing, the Transfer Room becomes a permanent, read-only archive with the full history of the transaction available to both parties.
- Download transaction history and completed documents
- View transfer timeline, audit log, and asset checklist
- Access accepted agreements and conversation history
- Export a PDF transaction summary and transfer certificate
- Open a support request or review dispute history (if applicable)
What makes the Transfer Room different
Layered on top of the core flow, these experiences turn a transaction into a genuine handoff of ownership capability.
Transfer Confidence Meter
A prominent indicator that rises from 0% toward 100% as identity checks, asset definitions, financial terms, documents, and verifications are completed. Each milestone briefly explains why confidence increased — a clear sense of momentum without implying legal certainty.
Asset Vault
Not a random file folder — an organized operating manual for the business. Every folder (Domain, Hosting, Stripe, Analytics, Suppliers, SOPs, Contracts, and more) contains the assets, implementation guide, transfer status, verification, and notes.
Business Playbook
Party A documents how the business actually works: overview, daily/weekly/monthly operations, revenue drivers, customer acquisition, suppliers, marketing, the top problems and solutions, and future opportunities — optionally with video walkthroughs.
Transfer Readiness Score
Craftr continuously estimates how transfer-ready a business is and shows what's missing (SOPs, supplier guide, password vault, marketing playbook). A higher score gives sellers a reason to improve their listing before selling.
Business Success Roadmap
Near completion, Craftr generates an ownership roadmap from everything shared. It is never final until Party A reviews it — the seller can accept, edit, add personal Owner Insights, or record walkthroughs before it becomes part of the transfer package.
30-Day Success Blueprint
After closing, the buyer receives a personalized roadmap: Day 1 verification, Week 1 operations walkthrough, Week 2 first improvement, Week 3 analytics review, Week 4 growth initiative — blending seller advice with Craftr's structured guidance.
Owner Wisdom
When Craftr notices valuable operational knowledge in chat, walkthroughs, or roadmap edits, it offers to save it as a highlighted Owner Wisdom note for the new owner.
Roles & permissions
Role-based access for Buyer, Seller, Attorney, Accountant, and Observer, with optional lawyer, accountant, and advisor invitations so the right people can join without over-sharing.
